Teaching to Influence Lives II

I began work as a primary school teacher on August 1, 1989. I was about the youngest of the teaching staff comprised mainly of married men and women. I was just 20 years old. One of whom was Mama Sowemimo, now of IfeOluwa Nursery Primary School, Ikolaba, Ibadan. Like many of them, she was like a mother to me then. They all encouraged me never to relax like others but to aim to go back to School as soon as possible. This made me work hard, save as much as I could, sat for NCE exam and enrolled after being offered admission at the Oyo State College of Education, Ila Orangun-“Journey of a School Teacher.”  Comments: As a teacher or a Pastor, how do you relate with younger people around you? Do you encourage or ignore them. What things will you start doing differently in your work place to influence those around You? Look forward to next edition after which we may create a whatsap group for those who are interested in this story….Thank you for reading.
