Children all over the world are faced with various challenges ranging from ordinary day to day ability to feed, freedom from pain and discomfort to a greater challenges posed by war, poverty , natural disasters such as flood, earthquake, epidemics such as cholera outbreak, HIV and AIDS pandemic to mention a few. In all these challenges the role of the family cannot be overemphasized. There is a common statement that a healthy family is a healthy Church and a healthy church is a healthy nation. On this premise one would see the importance of the home on children’s upbringing and their survival.
